Q.pruning a weeping cherry tree–use of pruning tar
Should you use pruning tar on a grafted weeping cherry tree? I have a wct that has bolted up three feet. I am aware not to prune until the Fall when the leaves are gone. Your help is appreciated.

Most wounds on bark should be left to heal on there own.

Pruning of a Weeping Cherry Tree is done in early spring or late fall.
