Gardening Know How Questions & Answers - https://questions.gardeningknowhow.comI have a Queen Crepe (Crape?) Myrtle in my new yard — at least I think it’s a Queen – it stands many feet (6′-10′?) above the roof of my house. I’m not sure that anyone’s ever pruned it before. A “tree specialist” came by the house and said I should “top it” before spring. That sounded drastic to me – especially since I would think thinning it would be a better option. It has a single trunk, but many, many interior (smaller) branches. Suggestions? What to do (if anything) or what NOT to do?
