Pruning a Norfolk Pine

Our Norfolk Pine is growing up but it’s also growing out. We need to reduce its diameter. Can we trim it he end of its branches? If so, are there any precautions we should take?

Trimming back the tips will destroy the plant’s look unfortunately. You will get upward facing branches and possibly multiple leaders. https://www.southernstates.com/articles/norfolk-island-pine-care.aspx [1]
It may be time to propagate and start a new plant. Here is an article on how to do that: https://www.gardeningknowhow.com/houseplants/norfolk-pine/propagating-norfolk-pines.htm [2]
