Q.Pruning A Japanese Yew (Taxus Cupsidata) Hedge In Helsinki, Finland!
Hi guys and girls, Our 90 years old Yew hedge needs heavy pruning! What will be your advice – how to do it? And what will be the best time for cutting? And remember this is Finland – Summer starts in June – but then the days are long! Will appreciate any comment!

Japanese yew can tolerate severe pruning. The best time to trim is in spring before new growth starts. Be sure to wear gloves to avoid the toxic properties. Here is more:
