Gardening Know How Questions & Answers - https://questions.gardeningknowhow.comWe have brought indoors a medium sized hibiscus with a full southern (sun) exposure. The leaves in the middle of the branches have fallen off. Leaves are full at the ends of branches and the plant does continue to flower somewhat. Question: what care do we do? Do we prune and, if so, how far back? Thank you!

It is ok to trim your hibiscus plant if you are overwintering it indoors. In fact, this can lessen the stress it will likely experience while acclimating to its new indoor environment, which is why leaves tend to drop off. You can trim whenever you deem necessary, but for hard pruning I would wait until spring when you set it back out.
