Gardening Know How Questions & Answers - https://questions.gardeningknowhow.comI have a well-established fig tree that is extremely ‘leggy, ‘ with branches sloping down to the ground. May be suckers. Early in the spring it would seem to have numerous figs, but by the time of ripening (soon now), only a few are left on the tree. How far back can I prune the tree (in winter?) and will it fruit the following season? Have pruned it in the past but apparently not enough, since it still grows in the leggy pattern. It’s healthy – beautiful leaves.
