How do I get rid of Prunella vulgaris that is growing in my lawn?

Once established it is difficult to remove by hand without leaving behind fragments that will regenerate. If large mats are present, it may be easier to actually lift and renew sections of affected turf. May also be controlled using either ‘Bayer Advanced’ or ‘Preen’.
