Gardening Know How Questions & Answers - https://questions.gardeningknowhow.comWhat month (now) is best pruning time (England)? It is very overgrown, taking up 2/3 of garden (has been plenty of figs though). Still has leaves on and lots of next year’s figs, but I need to prune it down. Is it ok to do so now (30 Oct)? If I wait, and prune in Dec., surely the frost will travel down pruned areas to main tree and kill it?

Winter is the best time to prune figs, specifically February in England. The tree will be dormant during that time, and pruning will not cause frost damage.
