Gardening Know How Questions & Answers - https://questions.gardeningknowhow.comI have a begonia with large leaves. It is a house plant with no flowers. Do you break off the furry looking root that grows above the dirt? Do you put in water, or stick the furry root in the dirt to plant a new one? This is not an angel wing begonia. I have been sticking the furry looking root in water to grow a few strings of roots before planting in dirt. It does not work well.

It would be easiest to root a cutting from one of the tips of the plant, rather than doing it that way. You can use rooting hormone, or honey and aspirin. These make excellent rooting hormone.
