Proper pH for Apple Trees

I’ve got a lot of apple trees coming (bare root) and am wondering what the proper pH for the soil should be (nothing like putting the cart before the horse). Where is the best source for me to find out good info on growing apples and grapes?

A good pH will be around 6. Here is a link to all the extension services pages on apple growing.
