Q.Proper Care for Mature Indoor Hyacinth

Anonymous added on April 26, 2014 | Answered

My husband presented me with two beautiful and very fragrant hyacinths as Easter gifts this weekend. Unfortunately, when he brought them home to me they were both drooping. I’m not sure how to fix this. Also, I’ve noticed that some of the blooms are turning darker hues of color than the other blooms. Is this normal? They weren’t like that before. I have currently got them placed on my dinner table that is located inside of double patio doors that lead outside. These doors have no shades or curtains on them. They are completely made of glass from top to bottom. Therefore, allowing indirect sunlight to flow into the dining area. I have also been watering the plants every other day. Is this too much? Thank you for your time and help.
