Q.Propagation of Hydrangea

Anonymous added on August 23, 2011 | Answered

I have a cutting in water. I am starting to get a new leaf forming from the stem but my cutting does not have any roots. Can I put the stem in soil yet?

These shrubs will generally not root in water. Soil is the better option. Here is more information on propagating hydrangeas: https://www.gardeningknowhow.com/ornamental/shrubs/hydrangea/hydrangea-propagation.htm
