Q.Propagating Christmas Cactus

Zone Overland Park KS 66212 | sfrye56 added on May 18, 2016 | Answered

The article on propagating a Christmas Cactus says to take a “Y” cut from the leaf. I am confused on how this is done. Also, I don’t understand how to propagate from a whole leaf. An image of how to either of these methods would help tremendously. I have a healthy plant where the leaves have gotten new sections. Every now and then the tip of some of the leaves will get a tiny red spot (like where its flowers bloomed from last winter). Is there anything special I need to do to ensure it will bloom again next fall-winter? Thank you in advance for your help.
