Q.Propagating burro’s tail

Zone Toronto | Anonymous added on September 16, 2018 | Answered

When I purchased a donkey tail succulent, I repotted it. In the process, many leaves fell, so I gave those leaves a new pot for it to root into new donkey tails. It’s been approximately 2 weeks and only one of the many leaves have started to sprout with mini leaves/roots. None of the other leaves have sprouted. During this time, I haven’t misted any of them. What am I doing wrong?

You should definitely keep these misted more often than you would typical plant. Another thing you could do that would help rooting, would be to mix a spoonful of honey, and a crushed aspirin tab up in warm water, then spray the soil with it. This will improve your rooting.
