Gardening Know How Questions & Answers - https://questions.gardeningknowhow.comLocation — London, UK
We have a Yucca in the garden which had grown out of control and had all sorts of pests on it. We had to cut it back very hard last winter. The stumps have now got new plants shooting out of the them and there are a couple of pups also coming out of the soil. I have to remove this plant due to building work but I would like to be able to propagate a few parts but don’t know how to do this. Please see attached photos of the plant. Any advice for an novice gardener will be most welcome. Thank you.
Regards
Vijay

The new growth coming out of the mother plant will have the best chance of succeeding as a new plant, so I would start with those. The pups that are coming out of the soil may need a bit more care. Cut the new growth as close the mother plant as possible, making sure that the new plant has at least 3 inches of growth.
