problems why a fig tree will not produce fruit

How long does it take for a fig tree to produce fruit and how often do we collect it yearly? What are the common reasons why a fig tree will not produce fruit? When do we say it is late? Is there any solution for such a case? Thank you.

It may be a nitrogen/phosphorus imbalance in the soil. Too much nitrogen and too little phosphorus can result in little to no blooming, which means no fruit. This article should help: https://www.gardeningknowhow.com/edible/fruits/figs/fig-tree-is-producing-fruit.htm [1]

They can be harvested twice a year when fully mature (6 or more years old, typically) and where climate allows. The next crop will come best if the first crop is fully harvested before the second crop starts to set.
