Q.Problem With My Roses

Zone New Milton, Hampshire | Christine Capron added on June 8, 2020 | Answered

My Roses are bending over as if the weight of the flowers, which arent opening properly are too heavy. The stems are upright until the buds open and then they are bending right over at the top of the stem and going limp.

Weak stems are a problem with many roses. Try adding 2 tablespoons of potash (potassium) beneath the bush and work it lightly into the soil, then water. It helps to strengthen the stems. It can be purchased at garden centers.
