Q.Problem With Basil Plants

Anonymous added on June 20, 2011 | Answered

I was growing basil plants in a pollytunnel, and they were coming on nicely but suddenly the tops have gone brown and the plants are wilting. They had plenty of light and water. What could have caused this, and how can I grow more from seed without this happening again?

Is it possible that the tunnel overheated? If this was not possible, then I would look to see if the roots had developed rot. This can be corrected by improving drainage.
