primroses – indoors

I have a set of primroses in a pot indoors. It gets direct to sunny exposure, depending on time of day. The plants have brown, dried tips. Not enough water? Have not bloomed, although they start to, but blooms die off. Help!

Most Primroses are sold as a short term houseplant, usually in the spring.
