Primrose in containers

What size and depth of container should be used for Primrose?

The pot size should accommodate the root ball with just 1 to 2 inches of space left around all sides and the bottom. The crown of the plant (where the plant stem meets the roots) should be level or a little higher than the level of soil in the pot.
