Q.Pride Of Burma (amherstia)care. My Leaves Brown On The Edges.

Zone Hakalau, Hi, 96710 Zone 10 | Anonymous added on June 5, 2022 | Answered

I’m in Hawaii and live where I can put this tree in a filtered light place. It had brown edges when I bought it but I thought I could give it the good care and make it grow better. It did flower but the leaves just keep getting more and more browned edges. I water every day, its very humid here, and I’ve even put shade cloth over it. I’ve planted in the ground now but it never perks up. I want this tree to flourish and I believe it can. what am I doing wrong?

Brown leaf tips and edges can be a sign of overwatering. Make sure the soil is well draining. The tree does need moist, rich soil, but daily watering may leave it saturated, especially if the soil does not drain well. Here are more care tips that should help:
