Gardening Know How Questions & Answers - https://questions.gardeningknowhow.comHi, I live in southern Texas, (zone 8). I have some Irises planted here which hold sentimental value to me. I am moving in mid-May to upstate NY. I would like to take some of my Irises with me. How do I prepare them for the trip?
If you advise me to dig up and dry the rhizomes, should I cut off the roots after they dry? (Before dusting with an anti-fungal?) Or, leave the roots attached?
Thank you!

I like to trim the roots slightly.
