Q.Preparing Delicata Squash Seeds To Plant
I had to cut into my delicata to get seeds to plant. They’re dried now, but do they need an overnight in the freezer to prepare them? Please advise! Thank you! Three grew in my sunny garden last year from existing compost. Each year I double my knowledge. Thanks for your clear writing and guidance. I’ll be back regularly. Some seeds can be stratified in the refrigerator, but you never want to put seeds in the freezer. It can destroy them. I didn't find any reference that said seeds need any special preparation so go ahead and plant indoors or wait to direct seed outdoors. Here is more:
