Brown-tipped leaves typically indicate too low humidity, improper watering (usually over-watering) or a water quality issue (fluoride toxicity). The soil of a prayer plant should be kept evenly moist, but never damp/soggy. Prayer plants favor humidity so you may want to create more humid conditions such as misting it daily with warm water or placing a bowl of water near the plant. If you are using tap water on a municipal water system, you can let the tap water sit overnight before using it on your plants to allow the chlorine and fluoride to evaporate from the water.
