Gardening Know How Questions & Answers - https://questions.gardeningknowhow.comI have a mature plant. The leaves froze in winter. I cut them in late spring. Left was a center tall cone. It is now growing pups from the bottom of plant, nothing from top. It is alive and healthy. I want growth on top, not pups on the bottom. All other Sagos I pruned are growing from the top nicely. How do I PRUNE?

It may be that the top did not survive and the roots are trying to produce pups to keep the plant alive. Sagos don’t take well to pruning and sometimes just don’t survive.
