Q.Powdery Mildew On Peony Plants.

Zone Oklahoma City, Oklahoma 73106 | TrissieEtta added on June 8, 2021 | Answered

Already produced flowers and no remaining buds. Leaves are now covered with it. Didn’t notice any prior to buds flowering and even while flowers were still there. Probably was there just not as noticeable as it is now. Most of the flowers were beaten down by rainfall. Weather is much more humid now.

As long as you are sure that it is powdery mildew, and not downy mildew, then your plants are in no danger. Unfortunately, your photos did not come through. I am unable to confirm if it is powdery mildew or downy mildew.

Powdery mildew will not harm your plants. It is more of an annoyance than anything. Treating powdery mildew is fairly simple. These articles will help:

Should it be downy mildew- You will need to fight it hard until it is gone. It will destroy your plants.
