Q.Potted Plant
Hello,
I have a potted Nemesia Vanilla Wisley which is rapidly shrivelling, flowers turning brown, despite my best efforts. Please help!
It arrived with gorgeous fluttering fragrant flowers, and despite keeping soil moist, the whole plant is drying out. I’ve since elevated the soil with some stones and cut bigger holes in the inner plastic flowerpot to aid drainage. No sign of recovery though!
This beauty should flower right through to September.
Could it have got waterlogged? Garden is south facing so would it prefer shade? I thought these were fairly hardy.
Please see two pics below..
Many thanks for any advice you can give me.
Kind regards,
Elizabeth Adey
This plant should grow in full sun and have moist but well drained soil.
Keep plants well watered throughout the summer to maintain flower production.
With proper care it should bloom through summer and even into fall.
