Potted Hydrangea Winter Watering

I have potted hydrangeas that are on a covered porch. Should they be watered during the winter? Should I encase them in plastic or wrap the containers? Thank you for you help.

If it’s already been accustomed to an indoor environment, then you could bring the plant inside for overwintering. Otherwise, you will have to provide adequate cold protection, such as wrapping the container/plant. Also, it will require watering only about once a month.
