Q.pot grown fig tree

Anonymous added on July 25, 2015 | Answered

I had a good crop of fruit on my fig but have noticed the figs discoloring and falling off. What am I doing wrong? I have had the tree for about three or four years. It is about 5ft high and is in a 16″ pot.

It sounds like the tree may have a fungus but this can also be cause by overwatering. I would treat the tree with a fungicide and also make sure the drainage on the pot is good so that the plant is not sitting in overly wet soil.
