Gardening Know How Questions & Answers - https://questions.gardeningknowhow.comHi My plants are rotting and the stem turning black and mushy. Some other plants leaves are turning yellow and brown. I think I am either overwatering or dealing with a fungus. I have got rid of some of the soil and cut the plants and put them in water. some of them have lost their roots already. Should I treat the plants before trying to plant them? must I throw away all my soil or can I spray them with something? CAn I use a mix of neem oil/soap and water to treat this fungus or what do you advise? thanks Selly

It could easily be root rot if you are overwatering. And you wouldn't want to reuse the soil as is if the plants have been diseased. You can let the soil dry out real well and sterilize it if you want to reuse it. Here is more:
