Zone Chapel Hill NC | mm10spring added on April 17, 2014 | Answered

My zucchini plant was growing like crazy but I only got a couple of actual zucchini. Do you have any suggestions? Thanks very much.

It sounds like you may have had too much nitrogen in the soil. This can cause lush growth but little fruit production. The good news is that the zucchini plant likely used up most of the excess nitrogen, so it should be corrected. But, have your soil tested to see what kinds of amendments you needs and be careful that you don't add any amendments that focus too much on nitrogen.
