Ponytail Palm Bark Separating From Trunk

The tree looks fine otherwise, so i didn’t notice this separation right away. Worried, as there are 2 more inclose proximity.

This sometimes happens when extreme conditions fluctuate, like dry and suddenly wet, or extremely hot and suddenly cold, etc. Here's an article that should help:
