Ponytail Palm

What fertilizer do I use for a ponytail? I have one growing outside for the last 14 years and have never fertilized it, but it is doing alright, except for brown leaves which I realised were because I kept it too dry. The other question is, how big does the bulb grow as we are concerned it may damage our retainer wall and what sort of root system does it have? Many thanks, Krystyna Perrin (sorry not savvy on uploading photos)

Fortunately, the root system isn’t very invasive. This will tolerate not being fed often, and will only really need it two times per year. You can use and all purpose palm fertilizer. This article will give you more information on the care of the palm: https://www.gardeningknowhow.com/houseplants/ponytail-palm/ponytail-palm-care.htm [1]
