Gardening Know How Questions & Answers - https://questions.gardeningknowhow.comMy tree is about 11 years old. It has only produced about 4 pomegranates. It had many blossoms this year, but they all fell off before any fruit started to develop. I never saw any bees on the tree, although there were many bees around it. I tried hand pollinating it last year, but that did not seem to help either. The tree looks very healthy and it gets a lot of sun. I don’t think it is over watered because I live in San Diego area and have always had a low water garden. It has drip irrigation and only gets watered 2-3 times a week. Any suggestions?
Mary

Over-fertilization, especially with nitrogen, could be one culprit. You may want to get a soil test to make sure nothing is out of range of this tree’s preferences. It is also possible that the tree is not being watered enough. Also check for any signs of pests and diseases on the tree.
