Q.Plums Remaining Green And Not Ripening On Tree
For the past two years we have had full sized plums remain on the tree with no ripening. Previous years we had normal ripe fruit on the tree. What could be causing this. We till in the fall leaves from around the yard, we also did a cement patio near the tree a year ago. Can’t think of anything else. Thanks

I would check the pH of the soil, first. It needs to be pretty low. This needs to be from 5.5 to 6.5, so acidifying the soil may be necessary.

If this is in range, then you may need to increase the amount of phosphorus and potassium in the soil.
