Plum tree issues

Our plum tree has developed sap leakage. See image. Is there a serious problem and can we treat? This season the tree a good crop of fruit this year.

I am sorry, but we did not receive your photo. Did you recently prune the tree? Sometimes trees will bleed after being pruned.
