Q.Plum Tomato Plants

Anonymous added on August 3, 2015 | Answered

I have four plum tomato plants that have been producing a lot of tomatoes. However, there seems to be no more blooms on the plants. How long do they usually bloom and produce tomatoes? I live in central NJ they get plenty of sun during the day so I don’t know what I am doing wrong. Any suggestions would be great! Thank you!

It is most likely a pollination issue. The plant will discard any flowers that are not pollinated. Has it been very humid where you live? This would do it. Most of the country has been suffering from extreme heat and humidity this season. These articles will help:

Also, these tomatoes are determinate, which means that the fruit ripens at one time, rather than continually through the season.
