Q.Plum Fruit Fall

We have a healthy-looking Stanley prune plum that sets a lot of fruit, but when the fruits get 1/2″ to 1″, they begin to fall off. We’ve had this tree for nearly 10 years now…It’s supposed to be self-fruitful according to the nursery where we bought it.

How can we keep the fruit from falling off?

You might be looking at plum curuclio. It's a beetle that infests stone fruit trees and causes early fruit drop. You can read more about it here:
