Q.Please Suggest A Vine Or Creeper To Cover A Chain Link Fence.
Please could you suggest a fast growing perennial vine or creeper I could use to cover a chain link fence which is approximately 25-30 feet wide and 6 feet high and not spread to grow on adjoining concrete walls. Ideally, it should suit these parameters: As it is intended for use in tropical climates with periods of very high temperatures with seasons of high heat, extended rain and very mild and warm winters, and relatively high humidity it should be hardy enough to withstand these conditions. It should require minimum maintenance such as trimming and should tend to cling to the fence and not grow or spread out much like, say, a bougainvillea plant would. And not require frequent watering once fully grown. Preferably it should not shed leaves or flower much, and not attract many insects, mosquitos and the like. Or nesting of rodents and the like. Birds are always most welcome !! It should be capable of growing from either ground soil or container. (Question: How many plats would it require to cover this area and ideal spacing between plants ?) And if it all possible it should look reasonably attractive. Lastly it should be capable of being grown from seeds rather than cuttings. I am not an active gardener with little, if any, horticultural knowledge so any information you can provide will be deeply appreciated and very gratefully received. Would you be able to supply seeds for the plant you suggest and what would the cost for such seeds be ? Thank you very much in anticipation. Regards.

We don't sell seeds or plants but here is some information that should help. Space them about a foot apart. We are based in the U.S. so you may also want to inquire at a local nursery for ideas.
