Q.Pleach Trees For Shady Position
Id like to plant a pleached hedge at the rear of my house which is a north facing court yard, ground level gets very little if any sun, but in the afternoon the sun is on the boundary wall at a height of about 1.8m . The soil is mainly clay, but it will need digging down further to plant the tree so will be adding stones and compost. Any suggestions , advice gratefully received. Previouly there was a leylandi hedge which i have recently removed.
