Planting Thumbergia Seed (Black Eyed Suzy)

When I plant the above seed, is it necessary to cover or can it be left open to natural light? Your help would be appreciated. Thank you, Tony Johnson

Thumbergia seeds are thought to germinate better in darkness, so you should cover them with soil.
