planting squash and cucumber in the same raised bed

I have small raised garden beds. Will planting these two in the same bed hamper their growth potential? Does it matter if the vines intertwine? Thanks for any help you can give!

You can plant these in the same garden. Some people who collect seeds do not plant them together so that they do not cross pollinate and affect the seeds they plan to harvest, but if you are not planning on saving seeds, there is no problem with planting them together. You may want to give each adequate spacing though to keep their vines from intertwining, though I don’t think it would really pose any big issue. If space is limited they can be easily trained to grow along a fence or trellis. Growing compact or bush varieties rather than vining types is another option.
