Planting Lily Tree Bulbs in the Spring

I bought 2 different collections of Lily tree bulbs and I have 10 bulbs that were shipped to me in the late summer/beginning of fall. I didn’t know that I should of planted them then so that this 2015 season I would see the start of the new bulbs. My BIG question is that I am just now getting ready to get them planted into the spots I’ve picked (they have already been started in a small pot). And I am wondering if I will even see anything out of the Lily tree this year since I didn’t plant them in the fall. So will I have to wait until next year before I get to see my new Lily trees start? Please advise me on what to do, if I can do anything about it this year. Thanks Lynn.
