Gardening Know How Questions & Answers - https://questions.gardeningknowhow.comI have just received horseradish root clippings from my recently deceased Polish great uncle. I have come to learn that he took great pride in his horseradish. I would like to continue this tradition. The web site says to plant it in the spring. Should I store the root clippings (that just got shipped to me in NC from Vienna, VA) or plant now, and how? I just want to make sure this goes as well as possible since his family and I really hope I can keep this/his tradition alive after his passing.

Horseradish can be easily stored for long periods, provided adequate cooler space is available, such as cool cellars or in deep outdoor pits or trenches.
