Can I plant the geranium in its original container into the bigger pot with the potting soil?

You will need to slip the growers pot off of the plant, then place the root ball and soil in a slightly larger new pot. Choose a pot 1 or 2" larger then the growers pot.
Use a good quality potting soil.
