Gardening Know How Questions & Answers - https://questions.gardeningknowhow.comFor years I’ve tried to start my plants from seed. My trouble is with the tomatoes and peppers. They always seem to grow too fast. That is to say that they get leggy. How can I turn height into girth?

Typically, if they are becoming leggy, this indicates that they are not getting enough light. Moving them to a more well lit area or using artificial lighting can help with this. You can use fluorescent shop lights for starting seeds indoors. They are cheaper and work just as well as the more expensive grow lights. Plain fluorescent bulbs will work just fine too.
