Q.Planting dogwoods

Zone Little Egg Harbor NJ 08087 | Anonymous added on June 28, 2020 | Answered

I planted a Venus dogwood about 6 weeks ago. It appeared healthy when planted but almost immediately the leaves started curling and turned brown . Now the leaves are dropping. Is this transplant shock or worse?

This does appear as transplant shock. This can take awhile to recover, but it should. Here are some things that you can do to help it recover: https://www.gardeningknowhow.com/plant-problems/environmental/learn-how-to-avoid-and-repair-transplant-shock-in-plants.htm
