Q.Planting Dicentra Bleeding Heart

I just planted a Dicentra Bleeding Heart root but I am not sure I planted it right. The place I bought it from didn’t explain or show what end is the roots and which is the old stems that were pruned. Please help

The root ends should have appeared firm and approximately the diameter of chopsticks with some small fibrous roots. The center crown should be at soil level with the roots fanned out in a hole that is as deep as the roots are long.
