Q.Planting Carrots Around Tomatoes
This year I am planting some of my tomatoes in 5 or 10 gallon black cloth grow buckets that are 12″ tall. Can I seed carrots around the tomato plants or is this bucket too short? Can I plant garlic and or shallots inside the bucket around the tomatoes? I know I can plant basil quite close to the tomato plant, but this is a new way to plant some of my tomatoes. Thank you.

If you use the 5 gallon buckets you may want to avoid planting anything with the tomatoes, or they will be competing for water and nutrients. One tomato will need the whole 5 gallon bucket. The second article tells how deep you need for many vegetables.
