Planting Bulbs

I was given a packet of ranunculus and windflower bulbs. Based on what I have read, it is too late to plant them. How can I store them until it is time to plant them next spring?

Packing them in cardboard boxes (see article) and storing them in the garage should be okay, provided the area doesn’t get too warm. Here is an article that you may find helpful: [1]
